Born on a cold November’s night in the southern most peninsula of Europe, Nolan first showed signs of musical interest in 1998 aged 14. Inspired after hearing a local Gibraltarian band on the Spanish radio, this propelled him to start singing.
His first venture commenced at the turn of the millennium with a cover band including Kounterfeit King’s very own William Westlake. After plenty of gigs and attaining bags of experience the group disbanded and went their separate ways.
The next chapter introduced Nolan to a new dimension of commitment, camaraderie and musicianship. Ellipse took the scene by storm and in a short space of time attained a faithful following performing a widespread number of covers from different genres.
Jetstream followed suit after the disbandment of Ellipse and is a project which still bares fruit for Nolan to this day. Having amassed a favourable following playing the cover scene, Jetstream delved into writing their own material. Producing their own songs further opened doors for the Jetstream boys who have since played in a plethora of countries alongside some very well recognised artists.
An Ellipse reunion ensued in 2021 which inevitably gave way to writing original material. Justin, Nolan and Will (the original members) recruited Nick and Jamie on the rhythm section and thus Kounterfeit Kings was born!
